Decks

New decks, rebuilds, stairs, and railings built to handle frost, snow load, and years of Northern Ontario weather.

A deck in Northern Ontario must withstand frost movement, snow loads, and repeated wet-dry cycles. Sound framing and properly supported footings are essential to its long-term performance.

We build decks from the ground up — footings, framing, decking, stairs, and railings — and we rebuild decks that were not put together to last the first time.

What this covers

New deck construction

Designed and built for your yard, your entry points, and how you actually use the space.

Deck rebuilds

Replacing framing and surface on decks that are past repair, often reusing a good footing layout where it makes sense.

Stairs and landings

Stairs built with consistent rise and run, properly supported and safe in the winter.

Railings

Railing systems in wood or manufactured materials, built to current residential expectations.

Repairs and board replacement

Board swaps, fastener repairs, and structural fixes to get more life out of a sound deck.

How the job runs

  1. 1

We look at the site, the grade, and where the deck ties into the house before proposing a layout.

  2. 2

You get an estimate with the framing approach, the decking material, and the railing option written out.

  3. 3

Footings and framing go in first and get checked for level and square before any surface goes down.

  4. 4

We finish with stairs, railings, and trim details, then clear the site completely.
